1-on-1 ADHD Coaching
Core Skillsets +
Personalized Support
The ADHD mind is a natural trickster. Untrained, this makes work difficult. With training, it's your superpower.
Through 1-on-1 Coaching, you work with me to get a solid grasp on the 4 key productivity skillsets that make up my Trickster Method. I then help you to apply these skillsets to your own productivity struggles. 1-on-1 Coaching is the best way to develop a personalized plan for how these techniques can fit in your unique situation based on your unique needs.
Who Do I Work With?
I work with:
- 🏛️ Students: Middle School, High School, Undergraduate, & Graduate Students.
- 🧑🧒 Parents of struggling students who want guidance in supporting their child.
- 💻 Working professionals who struggle with time management, procrastination, etc.
The 4 Key Skillsets
Whether you're a student or professional, channeling your trickster mind requires these 4 key Productivity Skillsets:
What will these skillsets allow you to do?
Find ways to get excited about even boring tasks
Feel energized and focused when working
Feel in control of what work you need to do and when
Make time for fun non-work activities too!
Why I Love the 1-on-1 Coaching
One key aspect of the Trickster Method that I use is helping you to find ways to put your own unique spin on your work. The 1-on-1 Coaching gives me the opportunity to get to know you better, so that I can more effectively offer personalized guidance in making your work your own.
With the 1-on-1 Coaching, we also have the time to experiment with the techniques to figure out what refinements will make them work the best in your life.
Are these programs right for you?
Does ADHD or something similar get in the way of your work?
Do frequent distractions and procrastination significantly slow you down or prevent you from achieving work and personal goals? If so, this program is for you. No formal ADHD diagnosis is required.
Are you looking for productivity-focused guidance?
My programs focus on helping you to be more productive and engaged in your work. I don't focus on other aspects of life with ADHD.
Are you ready and motivated to try new things?
My programs are skill-focused – it will only help if you use the techniques, so you have to be willing to experiment with them. Don't worry, I'll teach you how to make these techniques a habit.
This is What Coaching Clients Have to Say…
“The productivity skillsets for managing my mental pulls, mind, tasks, and time have been game-changers for me. Working from home remains hard for me, but the tools Matt provided, and the insights he continues to provide, have had a significantly positive impact on my work, my productivity, and, as a result, my wellbeing.”
– Peter M. (Librarian, Cornell University)

FAQs
We do not currently accept any insurance (ADHD Coaching isn't usually covered by insurance these days), but clients may be able to use HSA/FSA funds for reimbursement (see the next FAQ).
If the coaching is more than you can afford, fill out this form to explore other payment options. We don’t want money to be a barrier.
Good news! The IRS now allows ADHD coaching to be reimbursed through HSA/FSA plans under the category of "health coaching" in certain circumstances. To ensure your plan will cover these services:
- Contact your HSA/FSA administrator to verify coverage (you'll find their contact info on your card or account statement).
- Ask about Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) requirements - you may need one from your healthcare provider stating that ADHD coaching is medically necessary. (Before getting an LMN, you may also need a formal ADHD diagnosis if you don't already have one.)
- I provide detailed receipts describing these ADHD coaching services as health coaching for your reimbursement submissions.
Important: Please verify coverage with your HSA/FSA plan administrator before beginning coaching services if you plan to seek reimbursement.
You do NOT need a formal ADHD diagnosis to work with me. Do you struggle to pay attention to your work because you’re so bored? Do you frequently try to do one task and then get sidetracked by other tasks, ideas, or distractions? Is procrastination a frequent struggle?
If you answered yes to any of these, then I can help you.
Our coaching is action and skill-focused. We teach you how to determine what's holding you back right now and what techniques you can use to get back on track.
Therapy, on the other hand, tends to focus on deeper psychological/emotional issues related to living with ADHD.
As a Productivity Psychologist, I'll also give you techniques that are outside a therapist's expertise.
Given the different focus of coaching and therapy, the two also make a great combination.
That's great! Our coaching programs will strengthen the effectiveness of that counseling.
Our coaching is skill-focused and is different from typical ADHD counseling. As a Productivity Psychologist, I give you techniques that your therapist won't be familiar with (not a critique of your therapist – their area of expertise is simply different).
So our ADHD coaching would be a great addition to any counseling/therapy you might already be receiving.
Put simply, it's a psychologist with special expertise in productivity. Psychologists who do therapy don't have expertise in productivity, but productivity techniques are of particular importance for clients with ADHD.
Technically, I'm an Organizational Psychologist. This is someone who studies and consults on work-related behavior. Since the focus of my work is on productivity, I call myself a "Productivity Psychologist". It's more intuitive than "Organizational Psychologist", right??
Do you like the idea of learning the skills needed to turn boring work into something you’re eager to dive into?
Do you want to feel in control of how you spend your time?
If you answered yes, then this coaching is what you need!
That depends on your needs...
If you're really struggling and have the time and money to do 1-on-1 Coaching, that's the best way to get enough personalized support.
If you can't afford 1-on-1 coaching or prefer being part of a group, Group Coaching is the next best thing.
If you don't think you need weekly sessions with me and are most interested in learning to use the different techniques I recommend, then give the Text Coaching a try!
